Crunchy Peanut : origins and hi-protein snack ideas
The Story Behind Crunchy Peanut PODI
Choosing Crunchy Peanut PODI as our entry was personal for me. It’s actually the first podi I ever had as a kid! My mom made sure I always had a stash of it in her care packages when I was traveling the world for school and work.
It was also the first podi I tried making on my own. Spoiler alert: my first batch was…okay, but it didn’t hold a candle to my mom’s version. Peanut podi can quickly turn into peanut butter if not done right. That’s when I realized podi-making is an art—a lot like crafting wine. It’s not just about following a recipe; it’s about paying close attention to the smells, colors, and textures as you roast the peanuts, balance the flavors, and grind it all down to perfection. We take this artisanal approach with every batch, ensuring it’s nothing short of amazing.
Crunchy Peanut PODI was one of the first products we launched as a fledgling company, and it’s been a fan favorite ever since. The glowing reviews and customer love have been overwhelming!
A Quick Story
I recently reconnected with a college roommate who shared a fun memory. She’s a cooking enthusiast who believed that making anything with rich Indian flavors had to take hours in the kitchen. One day, she watched me casually slice up some chilis and bell peppers, toss them with my peanut podi, and whip up a dish in minutes. She was skeptical—how could something so simple taste good? But she was blown away by the result! It tasted like I had used a ton of spices and aromatics. Now, it’s one of her go-to recipes.
And that’s what PODI life is all about, my friends! Eating incredibly tasty, plant-forward meals doesn’t have to be expensive or time-consuming. Have you tried it yet? I’d love to hear how you’re using it—got any bomb recipes to share? Just hit reply and let me know!

THREE low-lift, high-protein snack ideas
1. Low-fat Cottage Cheese with a sprinkling of Crunchy Peanut
It is creamy, unctuous, and the peanutty spicy kick is the savory balance you didn't know you needed! This one is on-trend to apparently, as cottage cheese is currently having a moment - this little pairing is my nutritionist-approved! You can even mix it all up or blend it for a nutty, creamy dip!
2. Low-fat Greek Yogurt with a sprinkling of Crunchy Peanut
Greek yogurt without something garlicky (if you are looking for savory option) is almost non-negotiable in my world, ever since I've added Cilbir (turkish eggs) to the rotation. So like the other pairing, this one really makes boring, annoyingly bland low-fat greek yogurt rather delicious (and not just tolerable).
2. Shredded cheese mixed in with Crunchy Peanut and stuffed into mild peppers
I was inspired by one of my fav Indian street food snacks (mirchi bajji or stuffed peppers) and jalapeno poppers. To maximize the protein in this one and minimize the calories, I opted for a low-calorie shredded cheese. I de-seeded Long peppers, stuffed it very generously with the cheese and Crunchy Peanut PODI mixture, sprayed some olive oil spray, air-fried it for 6-8 mins et voila!!! it was so delicious, HIGHLY RECOMMEND these poppers.
