Carrot and Peas Bisi Bele Bath

This dish is anothe perfect celebration of legume harvest season. Fresh peas  and beans are everywhere in farmers markets now, and so are tender carrots. This Bisi Bele Bath recipe brings it all together beautifully. 

Bisi Bele Bath was our Sunday meal often because it is easy, packed with wholesome veggies and wholegrains. 


✦ Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped carrots
  • 1/2 cup fresh green peas
  • 1/2 cup fresh green beans
  • Ghee/Butter
  • 1 Bisi Bele Bath pouch
  • Lemon, for garnish
  • Chips, on the side

✦ Instructions

  1. Chop carrots and beans into 1 inch pieces
  2. Sautee carrots, beans and peas in 1 tbsp ghee or butter
  3. Add water to the pot according to measure on the Bisi Bele Bath box (based on your method of cooking)
  4. Add 1/2 tbsp of cane sugar. Cook until you have risotto consistency!
  5. Serve with a side of lemon and chips!
